Dedicated to Buffon and his closest collaborator Daubenton (first director of the Paris Natural History Museum), the museum offers a journey through Natural History and the philosophy of the Enlightenment. Every year, a temporary exhibition is added to the collections in the different rooms of the museum, offering an insight into the artistic and scientific heritage of these two famous naturalists.
Developed by Buffon in the 18th century, the park is intimately linked to the castle of the dukes of Burgundy history on which it was built. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1947, the park offers along its fourteen terraces an exceptional natural and historical setting.
